Political Economy of U.S. Militarism
This book is a political economy study of U.S. militarism. It is, in a sense, the exploration of Eisenhower\'s military-industrial complex\'s \'acquisition of unwarranted influence\'. In examining the recently heightened tendency to war and militarism, the author looks past George W. Bush and the neo-conservatives in the administration, focusing on the powerful institutional and politico-economic interests that lie behind the facade of neo-conservative figures.
